TapTap’s 5 Best Mobile Battle Royale Games

Translate
I don’t know if you’ve heard the news, but a pretty big battle royale game launched an Android and iOS version this week, and it’s got us obsessing over this action-packed genre all over again. The intense player-versus-player elimination drama of battle royale has ruled over the shooter genre for years now, but developers are still finding new twists and ways to keep us tapping that “PLAY” button for one more game late into the night.
To celebrate the launch of Apex Legends Mobile, we decided to pick five games as our choices for the best Battle Royale games on mobile right now. And if it seems odd that Apex Legends Mobile already made the list, there’s a simple explanation: We freaking love it. We’ve been having a blast playing and talking about the game all week, and we expect that trend to continue.
Oh, and if you’re wondering where Fortnite and PUBG are, don’t worry: We love those games too, but there were some other awesome mobile battle royales that we thought deserved the spotlight. Take a look at our list below, and whether you agree or disagree, let us know your favorite battle royale games in the comments.
• Apex Legends Mobile | @Jay Hunter
Apex Legends Mobile is a free-to-play multiplayer battle royale hero shooter. It carries over many of the features from the PC and console version, but it also brings some additions of its own.
Once in a match, you'll need to drop down across the map called World's Edge. There are all kinds of fun places for you to discover across the map and many unique spots to touch down. I personally like Capitol City because it's a cool place and has so many climbable buildings.
After dropping in, you'll need to scurry around the map to find weapons, medkits, attachments, ammunition, and so on. You can create your own unique gameplay experience for each match by choosing across the various weapons acquired in-game to fill up your arsenal. I honestly can't get enough of the R301 Carbine and some classic 30-30 Repeater action; they both feel so smooth to use. But how you play is totally up to you. I'd still personally advise balancing your arsenal with one weapon for close-quarter flurries and another for long-distance exchanges.
Another excitingly new addition Apex Legends Mobile features is a new mechanic called perks to amp up your gameplay before matches. It's a great way to grind some pretty advantageous stats or effects for your favorite character before jumping off into World's Edge. This perk system essentially buffs up either your chosen character’s stat, adds an additional effect to their skill, or enhances an ability’s performance.
Apex Legends Mobile's global release is, for now, a huge success. I enjoyed the game thoroughly, and I'm glad Respawn Entertainment took the time to bring us a high-quality mobile version of Apex Legends.

• Brawl Stars | @JB
One of the main elements that immediately catches the eye in Brawl Stars is the overall style. Supercell's work here fully incorporates the cartoon aesthetic of their previous titles, offering a vibrant and colorful design, accompanied by visually striking maps and a roster of playable characters/brawlers as varied as it is stimulating.
The game does its best impression of the classic MOBAs, while making a series of sacrifices on a tactical and gameplay level that substantially simplify the overall structure of the experience. Brawl Stars is more than a straight up MOBA though. It’s more akin to a MOBA-like: a title that starts at that basic level, using that genre’s most important strategic mechanics, but which also shapes those mechanics to make them its own in an attempt to address the more casual players.
It is when taking the field of battle that Brawl Stars starts to show some chinks in the armor—mostly due to how the game itself controls. These controls are positioned on the opposite ends of the smartphone display via two virtual controller sticks. The left side controls movement of your brawler, while the one on the right side makes things go BOOM! And this works fine for the most part, but when the bullets and bombs (and bears!) really start flying, these controls can fail you, and that’s when you’ll be screaming (like me) for a true, twin-stick controller.
If Supercell can cut down on all the noise, tweak the gameplay modes a bit, and add controller support on some level, Brawl Stars will continue to thrive in an already overcrowded mobile game market.

• Call of Duty: Mobile | @Aaron Jacobs
The highlight of Call of Duty: Mobile would undoubtedly be its battle royale which features up to one hundred people playing simultaneously in one- to four-person squads. But before I could unlock that, I had to get to at least level 7 with my character. To the game's credit, this provided an incentive to work toward, and seeing as multiplayer was one of the few modes unlocked, a road map on where to start. Otherwise, it could easily be an overwhelming experience.
I enjoyed the battle royale mode very much. Each map included fun features, such as vehicles like helicopters and cars to travel in, sandstorms to avoid, and because no Call of Duty is complete without it, even a zombie boss. Call of Duty: Mobile does an excellent job matching players of similar experience levels. Each game felt like I was playing against opponents of similar skill sets.
However, I have to wonder to what extent Call of Duty: Mobile implements bots into its servers? I'm not the most experienced guy at shooters, but I was getting triple kills against other players, and I wasn't even aiming for their heads. It made me think that some of the enemy combatants were computers on a lower AI level. That, or I've got god-like natural skills.
For fans of this iconic series, Call of Duty: Mobile offers an enjoyable experience on a smaller scale. I liked the familiarity of returning characters, maps, as well as the unique modes designed strictly for this mobile iteration. I could get my hands on an assortment of weapons and skins without spending money, and the battle royale mode was definitely the gem of my playing experience.

• Garena Free Fire | @Kef
Stepping into Garena Free Fire in 2022 can be an overwhelming experience, but it’s also one that makes it immediately clear why it's been such a success. If you’re familiar with PUBG or with the concept of the battle royale game at all, then the core gameplay won’t need much introduction.
It’s safe to say that Garena Free Fire, at least in its current form, captures that battle royale magic beautifully. From my first match, I was pulled in by the game’s buttery smooth gameplay and fast, precise shooting. There’s just the right amount of auto-snap to targets, and a perfect degree of feedback when you hit enemies.
Free Fire also implements some clever mechanical tweaks that showcase one of its major strengths as a phone game: It was designed for mobile devices, not ported over from a PC/console release. The best of these tiny changes—and one that has been borrowed by numerous other mobile battle royale games now—is the option to auto-loot guns, ammo, and gear upgrades just by running over them. Small, smart decisions like the auto-loot function really help clear up some of the awkward stiltedness of trying to control a fast-paced game like this via touchscreen.
I can already see why Garena Free Fire has become such a hit in regions such as Asia and Latin America. Perhaps it’s time for more American gamers to finally give Garena Free Fire its due.

• Wild Arena Survivors | @Freyu
Wild Arena Survivors is a fast-paced mix of battle royale and MOBA from Ubisoft. For now, the game is available as a soft launch in selected regions.
Wild Arena Survivors is quite different from some famous traditional battle royale games. The game is based around an intense and adventurous story. It takes place on an isolated, exotic island filled with resources. Each survivor has their own unique abilities and skills.
There are 10 different survivors to choose from, and you can plunder resources to upgrade your equipment and skills to become the winner among 40 players. In addition, players can enjoy different modes such as single player, or team up with friends to play three-player mode.

Yeah!!! Wild Arena Survivors is good game! Actually Wild Arena Survivors is unfortunately conducting a trial service in some areas, so frequent network errors may occur. Ubisoft announced that it would service a mobile game using a variety of IPs through a recent presentation, and not long after that, Rainbow Six Mobile was officially announced. Wild Arena Survivors is a new game that did not appear at the presentation, and is a battle royale game in which you become the last survivor at a festival hosted by a billionaire. The game is in the soft-launch stage, but it shows excellent gameplay. You must survive the threat of animals in nature except for other users while fighting with 40 users. In addition, the balance between characters and weapons is very good, so it is a game that I would recommend to users who like battle royale games. The game is a mix of MOBA and battle royale genres, but the game is not complicated and you can fully feel the moba and battle royale genres.

I have a mixed feeling about battle royales. I used to play PUBG Mobile a lot, and the only battle royale I'm playing right now is Fortnite. But I find it really tiresome to finish a 20-minute match. On the other hand, I don't really enjoy those fast-paced ones, which seem too entertaining for me...😅I'm willing to give Apex a try!

I'm never a big fans of battle royale games.. I believe it's due to too much variable during the beginning stage of the match when you gonna raid as many useful weapon and stuff as you can. But this article really helps me to broaden my horizons. With the explosion of PUBG, Fornite, Apex Legends, here are now numerous other contenders to challenge them, each with its own spin on the established formula. And with player counts fluctuating all over the place, it’s important to know the most popular battle royale games so you can be sure to get a match. Again, It's a great article/collection. Please keep on making these kind of content!

I have obtained all the current Brawl Stars characters. I've been playing this game for a long time. To my disappointment, as the game has developed, the character level limit increase has instead become an unreachable goal for players. Add to that the sad Perk. What keeps me in this game now is my love for it, and the day this sentiment fades, I will probably quit this game's stage.
